If you are up to date on the last post on The Teacup of Style, you would know that I had surgery on December 28th. I went into the operating room to remove a fibroid and the surgeon was able to complete the surgery successfully. Little did I know though, the surgery was the easy part. The recovery process has definitely been a difficult one.

The initial hope was that I would be discharged out of the hospital that night. Unfortunately, I ended up having to stay the night in the hospital because of how nauseous I was. Thankfully I had the best nurses helping me recover. At around 2pm on the 29th, I was able to *slowly* get into the passenger seat of my husband's car and make it home.

Let me tell you, the true rockstar in this whole process is definitely my husband. Since I had abdominal surgery, I am unable to use any part of my abs to complete tasks. Who knew you used your abs to do the most simple of activities? LITERALLY, I can't even put pajama pants on or reach to the coffee table to grab my water cup. Eek, this sucks.

Regardless of the difficult recovery, I am thankful that I have been given the time to rest and recoup from a busy and tough year. This is the first time that I have found myself bored in ages . . . which is actually a nice change of pace!
