You know what people say: Honesty is key.

It truly is a difficult task to be honest and open on the internet, especially when you don't always know the people reading what you write. Despite the fear that can surround the idea of being completely and entirely authentic, there is also nothing that is more freeing than being 100% yourself 100% of the time.

With the new year in full swing, I am deciding to just that in every aspect of my life, including my fashion blog. I have seen so many different bloggers and influencers that participate in honesty type series or posts on their blogs. I was amazed by how refreshing and interesting they posts were. As a result, I decided to promote a new series on my blog, called "Week Wrap-Up."

During these posts, I will showcase a more honest representation of myself by discussing parts of my week, my favorite products, products that I won't be purchasing and why, bible verses, learned life lessons, etc. These posts will be shared during the latter half of the week, as a way to conclude the week.

I hope you are excited for this series! I definitely am!

Without further ado, here is Weekly Wrap-Up No.1!!

Favorite Blog Post of the Week:
This week I stumbled upon the blog, J's Everyday Fashion. In particular, I was fascinated by her post this week titled, "An Open Letter To The Work Woman Wearing The $10,000 Purse on Instagram." I LOVED this post. She is so refreshingly honest, and she brings to light one of the key problems with fashion: judgement. If you haven't already, you should definitely read the post.

High Point of the Week:
One of my goals for the new year was to get back to working out more frequently. The hubby and I have been eating a whole heck of a lot healthier, and we've been going to the gym twice a week after work. We finally were able to increase our gym days this week, and we made it not twice, but three times. It may be a small victory, but it was still a victory!

Low Point of the Week:
This was the only blog post that I got this week. That hit hard this week. I love being a teacher, but the exhaustion is unreal sometimes. In fact, there was a study done that proved that teachers make more split-second decisions than a brain surgeon--and I totally believe it! When I come home from work, I feel like a complete and utter blob. It's difficult to keep up with a blog as much as I would like to when I feel like a blob after work. Even though I don't get to put a blog up as much as I would like to, I am so grateful that I am blessed to have my dream job!

Favorite Product:
I was contacted several weeks back by Marissa from, Marissa T-Designs.  She worked diligently to make my beautiful 'Mrs.Ortund' necklace. If you've followed my blog for a little while now, you know that jewelry is a big obsession of mine. She did not only manage to create a beautiful piece of jewelry, but it represents so much of my life: my role as a wife and my role as a teacher. She was generous enough to share a 15% off code that can be applied to any piece of jewelry in her shop. Just use "Jordan15" at checkout! I can't wait to continue to style it with many outfits to come!

And that concludes the first Week Wrap-Up! The topics may not always be the same every week, but it is a series that I am excited to write!
