graduation & life update

May 16, 2016

I do not want to bore you with an annoying long graduation post, but I did want to share a handful of my favorite photos from the day. I also wanted to use this post as a "mini" life update as to what my life will look like now that I am a college graduate!

P.S. My graduation outfit is linked after the last picture! Also, my floral and gingham printed dress is 60% off right now!

This picture was taken before my school's baccalaureate. Baccalaureate happens the night before graduation.

This was our class verse!

I get to marry the cutie next to me ;)

Now here are the photos from the actual Saturday graduation! Below is a picture of my love walking across the stage. He graduated with a degree in Economics & Business!

Here I am walking across the stage! I graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies (education) with a minor in English.

Graduation was a bittersweet moment for me. For those of you who don't know, I attended Westmont College. Westmont is a very small private Christian college tucked away in the beautiful Santa Barbara mountains. I am so thankful and blessed that I was able to attend such an amazing school for four-years. It was truly a dream. I am thankful for the friends I met, for the memories gained, and for the ability to grow both in my faith and in school simultaneously.

Needless to say, I am still really excited for what the future holds. This fall I will be attending a teaching credential program. I am so close to finally fulfilling my lifelong dream of being an elementary school teacher! Also, I will be getting married next summer. My heart bursts with excitement knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams. As you can see, I have some exciting things coming up. Ultimately, I am beyond thankful for the person I have become as a result of my college experience . . .  but, I am also stoked to see where the future takes me. I'm excited to keep showing you pieces of my journey along the way on The Teacup of Style.  Thanks for following along :)
