Happy Monday! I took a week long hiatus due to a hectic school week . . . but I am super excited to be back with a new post! I am so ready to graduation!

I have been obsessed with this white tunic! It is super lightweight and perfect for the transition weeks between winter and spring. It is available in a couple shades as well! This outfit also has me ready for a summer vacay with the pops of orange and yellow. I'm thinking that these heart-shaped sunnies  would be a perfect touch for a beach excursion as well.

These sandals in black have also been calling my name! I love the nude pair that I have and am definitely thinking about adding their sibling to my collection ;)

Thank you for stopping by :)

PinkReflectiveAviatorSunnies. I am speechless. I have had my eyes on these sunglasses for well over a year now . . .  How could I resist them?! They're pink!! P.S. They are super difficult to track down! But, I found them available on an online retailer for you. Hurry up and snag a pair before they sell out again

Also, I've been dying to add a pair of lace-up flats to my shoe collection. When I saw these floral babies {which also happened to be on sale} this weekend, I immediately snagged them without a second thought. They are such a unique take on the lace-up style since they are floral patterned. They are bound to make your closet springtime ready! :)

My busy week has officially begun. Quite frankly, I am terrified. If you read Friday's post you would know that I have four essays, one presentation, and one test this week. This week is probably definitely going to be filled with lots of coffee, countless hours at the library, and a few tears along the way. . . Wish this second semester college senior some good luck, because I'm going to need it!

My Outfit Details: TANK Black Free People Mock Tank (only $20-- I were this with everything!) // JACKET Classic Denim Jacket // SKIRT Black & White Striped Skater Skirt (sold out, similar linked) // SHOES Steve Madden 'Alpassa' Lace-Up Sandals // BAG Black Reversible Tote // SUNGLASSES Cat Eye Sunnies ($12!!!) // EARRINGS Pink Kendra Scott 'Lee' Earrings // NECKLACE Gold Pull-Chain Necklace // WATCH Pink Kate Spade Watch // BRACELET Pink Kendra Scott 'Jana' Link Bracelet

Friends, it is officially time! I graciously was able to finally pull-out my favorite classic denim jacket and a fun and flirty skater skirt the other day. Thank you weatherman! We have had an unusually hot February this year, meaning that I can dote my most infamous spring staples a couple weeks early.

Another one of the most anticipated spring staples? Lace-up sandals. I can already tell that they are going to be everywhere. I'm slightly  majorly obsessing over this pair. Hopefully I'll be able to introduce them to my closet soon ;)

I've also been obsessing over pink baubles and jewels as of late. My most coveted pink pieces that I own are this watchthis bracelet, and these earrings. Pink jewelry is such a fun way to incorporate spring themes into any outfit!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I have a super busy week of school coming up {four essays, one presentation, one exam}. . . so bare with me if next week is inconsistent.  Have a lovely weekend :)

spring fling

February 17, 2016

We have been experiencing quite the warm spell here in California the past two weeks! The recent rising temps has triggered my yearning for springtime hues. Personally, I believe that spring-themed outfits are the most fun to plan and wear. Who wouldn't love a pale pink crossbody bag or fun beige sandals!?
I had so much fun putting together this edit and I hope that you find some springtime inspiration! The items will be linked down below according to the type of item they are (i.e. jewelry, dress, etc.) Or, you can search the items through the widget down below!

--Pink Rebecca Minkoff Satchel: this reminds me of this expensive Balenciaga purse
--Smaller Pale Pink Crossbody: I would love to pair this with my white FP tank--the one that I wear all the time
--Yellow Studded Coin Purse: another fun addition to amp up the springtime vibes

--Pink Fit & Flare Dress: this dress is great for spring wear, but it will also be perfect for any upcoming wedding events these next six months
--Orange Bell Sleeve Tunic Dress: I need to wear this on a tropical vacation, PRONTO!

--Brown Braided Sandals: I am dying at how perfectly these shoes would pair with this dress...p.s. dress is on sale for $30!
--Nude Scalloped Chloe Pumps: these shoes are timeless, they could be worn for years to come!
--Nude Patent Tory Burch 'Disco' Sandals: I am loving the height on these shoes, they are very transitional and could be worn on date-night or running errands around town

--Kendra Scott Druzy 'Haylee' Ring: I am kicking myself in the butt because I saw this ring on sale for $20 at Nordstrom Rack several months back...I keep seeing it everywhere and I am desperately debating if I should add it to my jewelry collection some time soon...
--Hook Hoop Earrings (with stone detailing): I've always been a jewelry girl, and these earrings would be the perfect compliment to any spring frock!
--Pink & Gold Statement Necklace: I have seen this necklace everywhere, but I can see why! It is the cutest statement for spring!
--Knotted Tassel Earrings: these come in three color options; p.s. tassels are here to stay!
--Pink & Gold 360 Studs: these earrings make such a subtle statement and they aren't too overbearing either.

--'Wish You Were Here' Straw Hat: this hat doesn't even need an explanation, it is just too adorable!
--Karen Walker Sunnies: KW always makes the perfect warm-weather sunnies!
--Kate Spade Floral Phone Case: watercolor and floral patterns always get me in the mood for spring!

My Outfit Details: TANK TOP White High Neck Tank ($20)  // CARDIGAN Beige Slouchy Cardigan // JEANS Boyfriend Jeans // PURSE Large Black Tote // SHOES Black Wedged Sandals (last seasons, this seasons linked!) // SUNGLASSES Cat Eye Sunnies ($12) // NECKLACE Blue Stone Necklace // BRACELETS 'Key to My Heart' Bracelet & Silver Charm Bracelet // EARRINGS Pearl Studs

I hope that you had a lovely Valentine's Day yesterday! The sun was shining beautifully here and we were blessed with eighty degree weather. The day couldn't have been more perfect. I started out the day with a Molten Chocolate Latte {Starbucks seasonal Valentine Day drink} and it was amazing. I wish they were available year round! Besides treating me to a sweet coffee treat, my boyfriend picked up my favorite flower {red roses}! We then spent the rest of the morning at church. For lunch, we went to the most amazing lunch spot that we have been dying to go to for quite some time now! I am sharing the gifts that he got me below!

I loved that I was able to whip out my favorite black wedges because the weather was so amazing. These pair are from last season, but I made sure to link up the latest and greatest style! I wanted to keep my look casual since we were going to be dining by the beach. Therefore, I paired a white flowy tank with my favorite boyfriend jeans! I was comfortable and content the whole day :)

makeup on a budget

February 12, 2016

If you need to know anything about is that you are on an extreme budget-- or at least most of us collegiate amigos are! Being on a tight budget means that I have to find ways to save as much money as possible. With budgeting, you become very aware of where to spend your money and where to save your money. Therefore, I am going to share the products that I splurge on and the products that I save some money on!

p.s. keep in mind that my "splurges" are also not insanely expensive in retrospect. BUT, for a person on a budget, they are still considered on the more expensive side!

This mascara is amazing! It is a two sided mascara. The base layer comes out white and is the extending layer. The second layer is black and that is the darkening/bold layer. This mascara is a great way to save some mulla. Personally, I believe that this mascara is an amazing for some more expensive mascaras that are $10 or even $20 dollars more!
Does anybody else have crazy and unruly eyebrows that seem to go whatever direction that they wish? Fun fact, clear mascara is a great way to keep them in place. I personally do not like filling my eyebrows because I do not want a bold look for my days spent in the classroom. Therefore, I do not like to use a coloring brow wiz. This product is only $2 and is great for unruly eyebrows.
Fun fact: it is important that you do not spend a lot of money on lip balms, mostly because the inexpensive ones (that range $3-$4) work just as well as the ones that are priced at $10! I love that these lip balms are uniquely shaped because they are easier to find in my backpack and purse in comparison to the usual cylinder shaped ones! Plus, they come in so many fun designs and colors!
I have very oily skin--these are amazing for any time I need a quick touch up in between classes or when I'm running around doing errands. They also are great at not messing up your make-up when you are using them!
This is probably my most favorite "save" on the list! It has great coverage and such a great consistency. I use shade "Light/Medium" for reference and I am even able to use that shade year-round (both in the winter when I am on the paler side and in summer when I am on the tanner side!)

Since I do have oily skin, I like to splurge on the products that help with my skin. I recently discovered this product in December and have been raving about it ever since. If you do have oily skin, I couldn't recommend this product more! It has a matte finish and it also has SPF 15 built in. It is truly the PERFECT product.
Before I discovered the existence of eyeshadow primer, my eyeshadow would crease constantly, sometimes even after only an hour after application! This primer helps so much in preventing creasing throughout the day. Plus, most cheaper eyeshadow primers are ineffective and don't work--trust me, I have tried to find a dupe and have failed time and time again!
Again, this is another product that helps immensely with my oily skin. It is a great investment to splurge on a nicer powder. It also has SPF built into the product, an added bonus!

I hope you have a lovely weekend! I have another track meet this Saturday and will be spending all day there, but I am excited for Sunday and to have a lovely Valentine's Day with my BF!

the trusty casual tee

February 10, 2016

My Outfit Details: CASUAL TEE SHIRT Blue V-Neck Tee // SHORTS White Shorts // SHOES Studded Gladiator Sandals // PURSE Black Tote // SUNGLASSES Rimmed Cat Eye Sunnies // EARRINGS Pearl Studs // NECKLACE Silver Cross Necklace // WATCH Brown Leather Fossil Watch // BRACELET Brown Bead Bracelet (very similar linked, mine is a souvenir from the Caribbean!)

It was a blazing ninety degrees yesterday! What does that mean? I grab the nearest comfy tee and a trusty pair of white shorts. Truly, this is a combination that never fails! You can mix and match it with different watchessunnies, and sandals! Plus, it is a look that is both cute and comfy.

Even though I am still craving some colder weather, I was ecstatic to premiere my favorite studded sandals for the first time this season. I am excited to see the new collections of sandals popping up in the next few months in stores. I already have my eye on these adorable pair!
