feeling neutral

May 29, 2015

My outfit details: GRAY TANK: Free People // GREEN JEANS: Nordstrom // CARDIGAN: Target (very similar one linked) // SANDALS: Target // CROSSBODY PURSE: Fossil // EARRINGS: Kendra Scott // WATCH: Fossil // NECKLACES: DogearedStarletta Designs c/o

I'm hoping that this is my last outfit post for a long time where I will be wearing jeans. It is supposed to warm up tomorrow {thank goodness} and I will finally be able to get away with wearing tank tops and dresses without freezing my booty off. :)

Every once in a while, I find myself reaching for all of the neutrals in my closet. But I have found that wearing neutrals does not have to equal "boring," and I would like to believe that this outfit drives that point home indefinitely! I think that an interesting way to tackle the neutral trend is to pair a lot of "neutral" pieces together. The trick though is to make sure that you have some variances of some sort. For example, make sure that they all have a variety of colors, like my outfit above {i.e. I'm wearing white, brown and gray!} By the way, I am obsessed with these flowy tank tops! They come in a ton of colors and they are great quality! I love the fact that they have a higher neckline. Whenever I wear most tank tops, I always find myself adjusting the neckline to make sure my top doesn't fall to low, but that is not a problem at all with this higher cut!{P.S. They're a steal at only $20!}

Also, I wanted to point out the lovely Hibiscus flowers blooming behind me in these photos! I've always been a HUGE fan of flowers and love when they first bloom! So pretty :)
