I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! This week I have begun reflecting on my twenty-one years on this beautiful planet, I really am starting to feel overwhelmed with how blessed I am to finally feel sure of myself, to know what I want, and realize my priorities. There will be people that want to tear you down unnecessarily. There will be people that disagree with how you may live your life, cause you pain, and even make you doubt yourself. But if you stay anchored in WHO you are and WHAT you believe in, then not even their harsh negativity can shake what you are anchored upon. Plus, nothing is more chic then being the YOU that YOU are meant to be and pushing aside the negative people in your life ;)

Hears to a bright and shiny 2015!

Bring it on :)

With love,

Welcome to Winter in Southern California

December 24, 2014

Each year I reflect on the fact that I have never had a classic "White Christmas." There has never been snow on my front lawn. In fact, it seems like every Christmas I have ever had falls between 70 and 80 degrees. (I know, GASP! Some people may even wonder how that is even considered Christmas!)

But, I am starting to accept and appreciate the weather that we are graciously given. Sure, I can't build a snowman (but I can still sing the Frozen song and that's basically the same thing right?), watch snow fall through my window, or make a snow angel. BUT I can enjoy the sun's warm rays, watch the waves crash, and get away with wearing a tank top and skirt. And if you think about that, that pretty darn awesome.

Ultimately, my winter weather may be different than most, but it is a blessing that I am learning to enjoy and treasure.

Therefore, with these pictures I hope to give you a little taste of what winter weather looks like in Southern California and some possible outfit inspiration. Enjoy :)

December Favorites

December 23, 2014

What have I been loving this month?

They're all here!

 {Hint: Links for the items are linked up on title of each product/piece}

#1: Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain in "Romantic"
I'm not usually one to venture into super bright red lip colors, but this month I have been stepping out of my comfort zone and giving it a shot! What I love about this balm stain (and every other balm stain in the Revlon Colorburst collection) is that the product provides a very natural look on your lips. They add color to your lips but in a way such that the color looks like it could be your own lip color.  Plus the color stays on your lips literally FOREVER.

#2: Butter London's Nail Lacquer in "Jaded Jack"
This is the first Butter London nail polish I have own...and I have to say that I have fallen in love! (if you follow my Instagram -- @teacupofstyle -- you will find this nail polish all over my feed!!) The consistency is perfect! The color is bright! I wore this color for about a week and got so many (and I mean many!) compliment on it! I highly recommend this!

#3: Talbots Puffer Vest
I am now the owner of two puffer vest and I have to say that I am officially obsessed! I received this puffer vest as a gift (Thanks Momma Ortlund!) and have been wearing it none stop this month. It is incredibly well made, super cozy, and perfectly chic! This is probably my "Favorite" of my December favorites (is that even a thing?!)

P.S. It is $10 off right now if you buy it online!

#4 Alex and Ani Initial Bracelet
This bracelet has been my go to Arm Candy this month. I'm a little late to the Alex and Ani bandwagon, but that is besides the point! This bracelet looks beautiful when paired with other pieces! Plus, I love the noise it makes when I wear it... I know I'm weird.

#5: Essie's "Jazzy Jubilant"
This glitter nail polish was sure hard to remove, but boy was it worth it! This sparkled top coat put me right in the Holiday spirit. I put it over my Butter London "Jaded Jack" (as listed above) and I felt just like a Christmas tree ornament. When doubled with a red or pink, it will work perfectly for New Years Eve celebrations as well!

Have a wonderful Holiday week!

With Love,

Chic Earrings

December 8, 2014

// Hollister t-shirt (it's on sale for $9.98 right now) p.s. the shirt says "Same Chic, Different Day"--how cute is that?! // Charming Charlie scarf sold out (I'm surprised, I literally bought it two weeks ago!) similar // Target  booties (I've been practically living in these lately) // American Eagle jeans (currently on sale for $29) // Charming Charlie earrings sold out, but these are the same exactly style //

I'm sorry for only providing four pictures for this outfit. It was raining and I didn't want to damage the camera!

I have always been a big fan of earrings. If you ask anyone that has seen my collection of them...they could definitely attest to that statement. Lately, I have been experimenting with earrings that are outside of my comfort zone. I am loving the "crawling" cuff style of earrings (as demonstrated in the above pictures). A few of my other favorites in this style are thesethese, and these.

Don't feel comfortable wearing a cuff style of earring? That's no problem at all! You can still hop aboard the Chic Earring Express in other ways! Why not pair these with a cute blanket scarf and a top knot? Or how about picking up a pair of these cuties and rocking them as a POP of color in outfit?

Ultimately, there are literally endless amount of ways to incorporate chic earrings into your wardrobe. Never be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone!

Have a lovely week!

With Love & Blessings,

What screams Christmas more than a red long sleeved knit under a plaid puffer vest? I am completely and entirely in love with wearing puffer vests in order to get ready for this holiday season! I personally live in California, meaning that it is too dang hot to wear a complete jacket with HUGE sleeves. Therefore, I just throw on a puffer vest instead. I believe that they are the perfect combination of warm, but not too warm (if that even makes sense, maybe my fashion logic is no longer logical). Anyways, I will link a few of my favorite below so that you can possibly pick one up for yourself.

P.S. My birthday is coming up this Monday. Woohoo! The Big 21!

If you can't tell, my go to color to wear is black. Ever since my early teenage years, I have gravitated towards buying black pieces. The past few years I have tried to ignore my impulse to pick black and/or darker pieces and attempt to go outside of my comfort zone and incorporate POPS of color. But...every once and awhile I go back to my roots. For example, this outfit above. Every time I wear a black-heavy outfit I realize why I fell in love with wearing this color in the first place. A black outfit immediately looks fresh and classy. Ultimately, LBD's are my favorite classy look! I love this LBD and this one as well.

Also, I have always loved floral patterns and incorporating flowers into my outfits, even during the fall and winter months.  When paired with a floral pattern, black outfits provide a perfect back drop to really help the look stand out.

My current favorite floral pieces that you can incorporate into any outfit are:
Here  (How cute is this?!?)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Black Friday Shopping: Francesca's

November 27, 2014

One of my favorite stores to shop at is Francesca's! They have the cutest jewelry, knick knacks, and clothes! What are some of my favorites for there Holiday Kickoff 20% discount sale? Find them here! Also they're doing a 30% discount on Black Friday!!
Links to the items are above each picture! Enjoy!

How adorable is this festive scarf? Pick up this cutie and wear it through the holiday season!

This wallet can easily be transformed into the cutest clutch. It would look perfect with this dress from Francesca's. I love POPS of bright colors incorporated into an outfit.

Holy cow these socks...Do these even need an explanation as to why these are on the list...?

These booties are to die for. How awesome is the wooden heel? They would look super cute with a chunky blanket scarf and a faux fur vest.

I think every person needs a plain black watch in their wardrobe. This style is super simple and will go with just about anything. Enough said, right?

I've been on the hunt for a ring holder, and this is the perfect one. Why might you ask? It is a super cute kitty, duh. Plus it's super affordable as well. You could pick this up for yourself or even snag it for a Christmas gift for a cat-lover in your life.

Ever since I started college several years ago, I have become addicted to tea. I usually stuck to pre-bagged leaf tea out of connivence. I have recently discovered though that some of the best tasting tea is loose leaf! Therefore, why not add this super cute clock themed tea infuser to your tea collection so that you can enjoy super yummy loose-leaf tea.

I saw this mug a couple weeks ago on Francesca's Instagram and instantly fell in love. I have a slight (or major) obsession with mugs and animals. This mug combines these two loves in a really cute and simplistic way.

I have always been extremely impressed with Francesca's jewelry and how well their pieces are made. Their jewelry is not only super well made but their collections are bright, colorful, and classy. If you have ever been in a Francesca's boutique before and spent some time at their jewelry table you will know exactly what I am talking about! These earrings are the perfect fall/winter to a wardrobe. Pair them with a scarf or your favorite white long sleeve and they will provide the perfect POP of color.

Look at the beautiful detail in this jeweled cuff! Gold is my favorite jewelry tone, and when you add white beads and sparkling crystals to a bracelet I instantly will adore it!

My all time favorite accessory is the infamous statement necklace. This particular piece is perfect for the holidays. Pair it with your holiday party outfit and you are good to go!

Remember for a limited time only Francesca's online has a Holiday Kickoff Sale for 20% off EVERYTHING!!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
